David LeBlanc, PE, FSFPE, is a Vice President, Strategic Advisor with over 30 years of fire protection systems, design, and fire and life safety code consulting experience. He has extensive knowledge of building and fire codes and has performed countless compliance drawing reviews, variance/appeals and egress analyses.
He is also an expert at performance-based codes, fire modeling, fire protection systems design, and smoke control special inspections and commissioning. Mr. LeBlanc provides litigation support for building, fire, and life safety codes as well as expert opinions on fire and life safety systems. He also works with clients and Authorities-Having-Jurisdiction (AHJs) to negotiate resolutions for code, fire protection, life safety and performance-based design solutions.
Mr. LeBlanc has a broad range of project experience including high-rises, universities, offices, commercial facilities, hotels, residential dwellings, hospitals, museums, industrial facilities, laboratories, airports, casinos, correctional institutions, atrium, government and mixed-use facilities.
Currently, Mr. LeBlanc serves as a technical member of NFPA 72, National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code, NFPA 4, Integrated Fire Protection and Life Safety Systems Testing, and NFPA 3, Commissioning Fire Protection and Life Safety Systems.
